Black Shadow as he appeared in F-Zero GX
|First Appeared||F-Zero X|
|Later Appeared|| F-Zero GX|
F-Zero Legend of Falcon
Black Shadow is one of the most prominent villians in the entire F-Zero series. He is a self-proclaimed master of evil and leads an expansive organization known as Dark Million, consisting of big names such as Zoda and Miss Killer. He is the naturally sworn archenemy of Captain Falcon, the rock-solid bounty hunter who has taken in more of his trusted underlings than he can even begin to count, putting an endless string of his carefully thought-out plans to ruin. His overall origin is unknown other than that he's an extremely powerful and strong-willed entity with the unstoppable ambition to take over the Universe and enslave everyone in it. To get closer to this goal, Black Shadow knows that the only way this is going to happen is if Captain Falcon is out of the picture. And since the only way that this virtually omniverous villian can track him down is in the F-Zero Grand Prix circuit, his only choice was to have his minions craft a large and deadly machine for him, the Black Bull, and enter the races himself with the intention of killing the legendary bounty hunter over live race feeds spanning the entire galaxy and beyond!
 F-Zero X
In the second console-based installment of the F-Zero franchise, Black Shadow was introduced as a fairly lackluster presence with an overall unconvincing persona. While his original appearance came off as quite odd, his attitude was also a little bewildering as he seemed much more self-absorbed and boisterous rather than cold-blooded and evil. But one way or another, it was roughly apparent at this time that Black Shadow would continue on as a grounded F-Zero villian.
 F-Zero GX
In the most recent console-based title, Black Shadow smoothly hardened into a cruel and cunning master of evil, with a smooth tone to his devilish voice and a very calculating and slightly unpredictable attitude. While the newly-introduced presence of Deathborn deterred from this effect to a noticable extent, this character still held his ground as the original loathed and feared scurge of the racing track.
 F-Zero Climax
Due to the lack of an actual storyline, besides being based off of the finale to F-Zero Falcon Legend(character-wise), Black Shadow remains as predictable as he always was with a very lacking grip and speed in place of the strongest body you could hope to find in a single racing game.
 F-Zero Legend of Falcon
In the anime adaptation, Black Shadow is no doubt the title villian throughout the entire series, making subtle appearances in early episodes from his throne at the Dark Million headquarters, usually issuing missions to Zoda and Miss Killer along with their recruited followers. Since Rick Wheeler had been introduced as the main character alongside Captain Falcon, Black Shadow's overall deep grudge towards Captain Falcon's very existence isn't nearly as overly emphasized as much as you would have expected it to have been given your experience with gaming titles past.
