The Cosmic Dolphin is the machine driven by the young scientific prodigy: Digi-Boy. This machine was completely constructed by Terry Getter to be the ultimate racing device that could easily win a Grand Prix by way of simple programs built into the vehicle's custom-built mainframe. With this, Terry ran simulations of each race track before actually participating in a set race and programmed them into this mainframe, allowing the Cosmic Dolphin to practically run each race it participates in on autopilot, allowing Terry and his brilliant mind some time to rest and reflect as he speeds to victory.
[edit] F-Zero AX
In the original arcade port of the Nintendo Gamecube-released F-Zero GX, the Cosmic Dolphin(and pilot Digi-Boy)made it's very first appearance as a machine exclusively playable in this version of the game(it can also be unlocked in the GCN version by way of completing very hard missions in the game's Story Mode). The Cosmic Dolphin is an extremely fast and slippery machine, mainly due to it's overpowered boost prepulsion systems and long, thin chasis. These attributes are a result of Terry Getter's safe and straightaway approach to acheiving the top spot in any Grand Prix he enters.
