James McCloud as he appeared in F-Zero GX
|Occupation||Fighter Pilot, Racer|
|First Appeared||F-Zero X|
|Later Appeared|| F-Zero GX|
F-Zero Legend of Falcon
James McCloud is an important fighter pilot belonging to the squadron known as Galaxy Dog. He ended up entering the F-Zero races during his peacetime, where no other possible work could be found for him at that point. Through this effort, he had all of his pals back at Galaxy Dog completely remodel his fighter ship, the Wyvern, into a regulation F-Zero machine(given the name "Little Wyvern", due to it's drastic downsize during the process). James mainly entered the Grand Prix for the sake of supporting his family of a wife and young son, whom he intends to properly look after with every last bit of strength in him. James McCloud is directly based off of a character under the same name in Nintendo's popular StarFox series, playing the role of Fox McCloud's deceased father. Appearance-wise, this character takes on the look of his StarFox counterpart perfectly besides the fact that he's not an anthromorphic fox.
 F-Zero X
In the second console-based installment of the F-Zero franchise, James McCloud is introduced with a subtle haircut and noticably aged facial features as opposed to future incarnations of his character(similar to Jack Levin). He's a wise and well-trained pilot with great confidence and skill. As a side joke, he refers to himself as a "sly fox" in his expert class ending video.
 F-Zero GX
In the most recent console-based title, James McCloud shows up looking more like his StarFox counterpart than ever before(with two spiky shafts combed into his hair purposely resembling animal ears). The fact that he's racing for the sake of his family's financial well-being is finally introduced and James reveals that he'll do anything to get a steady amount of work and daily pay since it's been hard to find any after taking a break from his regular duties back at Galaxy Dog.
 F-Zero Climax
Due to the lack of an actual storyline, besides being based off of the finale to F-Zero Falcon Legend(character-wise), James McCloud enters the races once more with a wonderful supply of grip and speed, carrying the risky business of a lesser yet still moderated body strength with him.
