Jody Summer as she appeared in F-Zero GX
|First Appeared||F-Zero X|
|Later Appeared|| F-Zero GX|
F-Zero Legend of Falcon
Jody Summer was a former officer in the Galactic Space Federation. She had eventually entered the world of F-Zero racing in her late teens after her father, Mason Summer(inventor of the G-diffuser: an essential component to F-Zero machines which grants them their anti-gravity ability), had passed on after succumbing to a fatal accident. In her father's name, Jody swore she would do him proud and win the Grand Prix, building the White Cat machine with the help of her Federation allies(named after the common nickname her father would associate with her)! She had later found victory to be quite difficult as she was still a rookie pilot and less than a shadow when stacked up to the likes of Captain Falcon. Regardless, she is often commended for her ability to control any F-Zero machine at the peak speeds they reach, an amazing trait for such a newcomer at the time. Jody Summer also happens to be the apple of John Tanaka's eye, who pursures her in every race intended to protect her from harm and win her affection. Nevertheless, this spunky underdog is fiercely determined to show exactly what she's made of to any veteran racer who may cross her path!
 F-Zero X
In the second console-based installment of the F-Zero franchise, Jody Summer was introduced as rather pompous and presumptuous(as is indicated by her comment displayed in her expert-class closing video). This is the very first Grand Prix she has ever entered and is determined to take home the gold in her late father's good name. However, this never comes to be.
 F-Zero GX
In the most recent console-based title, Jody Summer becomes less snotty in place of moreso forcibly alluring and not too serious in regards to her sentimental reasons for throwing herself into the F-Zero circuit in the first place. A fraction of her big-headedness is still evident, but to a lesser degree. In Mission 5 of F-Zero GX's StoryMode, Jody Summer is the victim of one of Black Shadow's deadly traps as he sets a timed bomb in a Galatic Space Federation building with her and the White Cat trapped inside. After Captain Falcon saves her from the deadly structure with aid from the Blue Falcon, Jody is brought into the waiting arms of a concerned John Tanaka.
 F-Zero Climax
Due to the lack of an actual storyline, besides being based off of the finale to F-Zero Falcon Legend(character-wise), Jody Summer enters the races once more as a veteran with astounding grip, speed, and boost. Her body strength is moderate, but it's barely a loss at all.
 F-Zero Legend of Falcon
In the anime adaptation, Jody Summer is one of the commanders of the Elite Mobile Task Force stationed in the squad that Rick Wheeler is part of. She forms a steady personal connection with him from the time he is first unthawed in 2201 and keeps building from their, revealing how she was once an ex-cop but had to drop out of the ranks after being critically injured by a rocket launcher-happy Zoda, needing one half of your body to be replaced by fully cyborganic components by way of Dr. Stewart.
At the end of the series, it is later revealed that Captain Falcon is actually Jody's older brother whom risked his life to save her from Zoda back in her ex-cop days. His real name in this particular canon is Andy Summer.
