Kate Alen is an extremely popular singer and dancer known throughout the galaxy for her meaningful songs combined with powerful dance moves. Being born of two parents who were already famous composers, she was naturally thrust into the music business along with her ten brothers and sisters, and eventually made it out as a sensation on her very own at the age of 21 with her hit single, "A Little Love Never Hurt No One". She had happened upon the F-Zero circuit after performing for the opening ceremonies of various Grand Prixs, realizing that her natural sense of rhythm, strong will, and peak physical fitness would do her well in the racing scene. With this decision made, Kate had her many sponsors craft the Super Piranha for her and she was off to the track to prove that she was a woman of many miraculous talents!

[edit] F-Zero X

In the second console-based installment of the F-Zero franchise, Kate Alen was introduced as a well-lean and surprisingly muscular female pop celebrity with an iron will and medium-length frizzy hair on her head which morphed into an afro in later installments. She's respectably self-confident yet modestly moderative of her possible boasting at the same time.

[edit] F-Zero GX

In the most recent console-based title, Kate Alen becomes surprisingly less respectable and much more shallow. It almost appears as she relies entirely on her alluring charm to win the day and less of the various components to her non-physical public image. The irony to this is that Kate mainly entered the F-Zero races for the purpose of proving herself over the stereotype-wrought, tyrannical men that supposedly "rule" these tracks. Such an attitude completely twisted this venture around for her.

[edit] F-Zero Climax

Due to the lack of an actual storyline, besides being based off of the finale to F-Zero Falcon Legend(character-wise), Kate Alen enters the spotlight once more with her Super Piranha, which wields an excellent grip and boosting, complimented by moderate speed and body strength.

[edit] F-Zero Legend of Falcon

In the anime adaptation, Kate Alen is still an amazingly popular mega popstar who has entered the F-Zero Grand Prix, yet is depicted as much more of a "damsel-in-distress"-type victim, something which slightly contradicts all that has been built for her original character up to this point. Despite this, she is still shown to have a very spunky attitude and annoyingly hard head. In the first episode in which she's introduced, Kate is confronted by Jody Summer, intended to warn her that the notorious Zoda intends to kidnap her in order to hold a ransom in the name of Dark Million. Due to this, Rick Wheeler and Mr. EAD are enlisted as Kate's personal body guards and follow her around during the evening in which she is expected to be taken.
