Leon as he appeared in F-Zero GX
|First Appeared||F-Zero X|
|Later Appeared|| F-Zero GX|
F-Zero Legend of Falcon
Leon is an inhabitant of the planet Zou, a world inhabited entirely by beastly, wolf-like humanoids with increased strength and sense in comparison to Earth-based humans. He was orphaned at a young age thanks to a territory war that ripped through his home. This hardened him into a harsh and determined protector of his people, doing anything possible in his power to help preserve the futures of Zou's ravaged and homeless youth. This is what pushed Leon to the pursuit of the one billion space credits offered as prize money to the champion of the F-Zero Grand Prix. Using the appropriate spare parts found on the surface of his war-torn home, Leon crafted the Space Angler with his own two hands and entered the races in hope of freeing all of the children of Zou from poverty. Like James McCloud, Leon bears a striking resemblance to Wolf O' Donnell, the main antagonist featured in the original StarFox series. Their overall personalities and backstories don't even come close to matching in the least though.
 F-Zero X
In the second console-based installment of the F-Zero franchise, Leon was introduced as a very determined and ferocious competitor with the strength and will of araw beast(yet drove a machine that didn't exactly uphold such an image 100%). His placeholder backstory set on Zou hasn't been developed at this point, so it's mainly considered that he's entered the F-Zero Grand Prix solely to prove and show off his full animal-fueled potential.
 F-Zero GX
In the most recent console-based title, Leon comes off as much more humble and reserved, constantly referring to the children of Zou as the only sake of him being where he is today(which he only does in the many F-Zero Tv interviews he partakes in). Despite this rather light hit to his personality, his overall appearance still holds up(perhaps even moreso), with an overall rugged look to his physiology which includes a permanently-shut right eye blanketed by a serious battle scar.
 F-Zero Climax
Due to the lack of an actual storyline, besides being based off of the finale to F-Zero Falcon Legend(character-wise), Leon refuels the inner beast with the Space Angler, boasting tremendous grip and speed, with a low strength rate commonly holding it back in the right situations.
 F-Zero Legend of Falcon
In the anime adaptation, Leon is actually a human struck with a metamorphisis condition who works as a busboy at Falcon House. He has a secret crush on Lucy Liberty and is deathly afraid to confess it to her, with a lack of bravery and confidence that is only filled when he undergoes his animalistic transformation every time he experiences even the slightest adrenaline-fueled sensation.
