Lily Flyer is a loyal young woman who has been part of the Galactic Space Forces since her early teens, which is a military organization affiliated with the Galactic Space Federation. She was enrolled into this organization by way of her strict and supportive parents who made sure she didn't have a choice to back out of her position at any point in the future. Despite this, Lily is completely dedicated to her military duties and manages beyond expectation in her training and treats her commanding officers with the utmost level of respect and courtesy. It is apparent that her youthful nature will get in the way of her work and cause her to appear a bit naive at times, but her strong will and determination usually overshadow this for most. Longing to truly make the most out of her training, Lily entered the F-Zero Grand Prix in sponsorship of the Forces. This move was meant to grant Lily a chance to properly sharpen her reaction skills and ability to keep a level head under heavy pressure. Since any and all money that Lily earns during these races end up with the Forces, this venture is being undertaken for a purely self-building cause.

[edit] F-Zero GX

In the most recent console-based title, Lily Flyer is featured as a special character who can only be unlocked after successfully completing one of the game's nine StoryMode chapters on the Very Hard setting. This character was originally featured as an exclusively selectable pilot from the get-go in F-Zero AX, the reformatted arcade version of F-Zero GX. She can appear rather modest in-person yet her rock-solid confidence is always evident in her voice and physical gestures. Despite being hardened into a well-rounded military soldier, Lily still acts like an innocent, young girl in the best of times.
