The Space Angler is the machine driven by the furry avenger himself: Leon. It was originally constructed by Fable, a highly-trained mercenary belonging to the mysterious armed force that launched a full-scale attack on Leon's home planet of Zou. After being stationed in this squad of violent criminals for more years than he could count, Fable started to become sorely resentful of the merciless natures of his fellow men, such as attacking helpless planets rather than harmful military-equipped foes. Due to this, he promptly betrayed them following their attack on Zou and began aiding the poverty-stricken residents of the war-torn planet. Part of these acts consisted of the construction of a commonplace vehicle for the victims to safely travel across the wastelands of what was once their home with. After discovering the F-Zero circuit and the best method for financially supporting the future of his planet, Leon requested this prototype machine to be remodeled in order to meet the racing standards required for this sport. Agreeing without hesitation, Fable fulfilled his wish.

[edit] F-Zero X

In the second console-based installment of the F-Zero franchise, the Space Angler was introduced among the wide array of 25 fellow new machines. This is a very easy machine to handle which inevitably balances out the other two performing factors to a less-than-impressive end of the scale.

[edit] F-Zero GX

In the most recent console-based installment of this series, Leon's Space Angler returns with a slight increase in body strength and the similar amount of boost power that was seen in F-Zero X. Sadly, the control capability appeared to have underwent a small downgrade.

[edit] F-Zero Climax

In the most recent portable console-based title, the Space Angler shows off it's beastly skill with an amazing amount of grip on tight turns and constantly-twisting courses. It'll need this ability in order to stay ahead of the competition due to it's relatively lackluster boost performance and body strength.
